Kannie
A true introvert at heart, Kasandra was drawn to Oak Tree Town by a crumpled flyer she found by chance. After jumping from job to job to keep up with the city life, she has decided that settling down and becoming a farmer like her mother suits her much better. Though her stubbornness can get the best of her, her ambitions lead her head, while her heart remains open.

Name | Kasandra, Kannie (SoS), Kass (SoS:PoOT) |

Birthday: | Fall 5 |
Residence: | Calx Farm |
Family: | Raeger (husband), Rina (daughter), Klae (son), Edalie (daughter) |
Kannie (short for Kasandra, also known as Kass in SoS:PoOT) is a player character in Story of Seasons and Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town.
Kannie moves to Oak Tree Town after growing tired of trying to fit into a city lifestyle. Having grown up on a farm, she finds it bitterly ironic that she has decided to settle for the exact life that she tried to escape. Her childhood farming chores gives her the skills she needs to turn the ruined farm she bought into a thriving part of their town's economy. Though ambitious, she is uncomfortable with receiving praise for her work and is more than happy to share the credit with her fellow (and rival) farmers.
Despite preferring to keep to herself most of the time, she is friendly by nature and loves attending festivals, so long as the attention isn't on her. She hates oversleeping and if someone tries to get in the way of her morning routine around her farm. Should an unlucky person (or well-meaning guildmaster) try to find her before 9AM on her farm, she can be found ranting to Giorgio or Fritz about it for the rest of the afternoon.
Kass (as she is known by the townspeople, though is still Kannie to Emi) is a player character once again in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, which takes place 2 years after she moves into Oak Tree Town. Having gone through a rough break up, she leaves her farm to Fritz and moves in with her close friend from the city, Emi, who takes over her grandfather's farm. Despite her attempts to stay away from the townspeople and repay Emi through hard work, she is eventually accepted as a member of the community and helps restore Olive Town to its original glory. Her attempts to pin the work on Emi are seen through easily.
Though her and Emi are barely anything alike, the two get along quite well. Kannie takes over a majority of the farmwork due to her experience and tasks Emi with maintaining household chores and the needs of their farm animals. After Emi unexpectedly marries Jack in Year 2, Kannie moves into Gull's Rest Hotel & Café, not wanting to disturb the newlyweds. Emi convinces her to move back in by the end of the season and she becomes roommates with the couple, taking their spare room downstairs.
One afternoon, not long after Emi and Jack's wedding, she decides to take a trip to Terracotta Oasis after Emi mentions that it now takes visitors. There, her peaceful days in Olive Town are turned upside down when she runs into her ex-boyfriend, Raeger.

Relationshipsㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
Fritz
Kannie and Fritz met in high school and were close in their freshman year but grew apart in later years. By the time they graduated, all Kannie knew was that he had gone to college while she chose not to. When she contacts Veronica to move to Oak Tree Town, Fritz is there to greet her when Kannie moves in, happy to see an old friend. Though she finds him childish and too nosy at times, he is undoubtedly a loyal and close friend to her.
In the SoS cont. timeline, he attends their wedding and gives a heartfelt speech as both Kannie and Raeger's close friend. He's the one to convince Raeger to start closing up his Restaurant earlier to spend more time with Kannie, especially when they find out she's pregnant. The twins refer to him as "Uncle Fritz" and he comes to play with them and babysit often.
In the SoS:PoOT timeline, Kannie gives all of her land to Fritz and leaves without fully explaining her reasonings. Though Fritz takes up her legacy in Oak Tree, he calls her continuously through her first season in Olive Town to get a reason why out of her. Frustrated, Kannie infers that he took over her land for the money and fame rather than out of goodwill, which hurts him deeply. The two aren't on speaking terms until Kannie goes to Terracotta Oasis and hears from Giorgio how hard Fritz is working to maintain both his and her farms. She finally gives him a call and apologizes; the two make up. Kannie's farm is donated to the community, allowing for tourists and the townspeople to create Sunnyside Community Garden in honor of Eda. He comes to Olive Town to celebrate Kannie and Raeger's engagement and (later on) attends their wedding.
He offers to come and babysit when Kannie calls him to tell him about the twins and gave her the idea of her third child being Eda's namesake.Lillie
Kannie adores Lillie and the two become fast friends. She finds it funny that the two are similar, from their color taste down to their ambitious natures. Though her suspicions that Lillie and Raeger may be more than friends caused her to back away from her friendships with both of them out of respect (as she had an obvious crush on Raeger), Lillie was quick to clear her suspicions and support her. They are often found chatting in front of the Restaurant after Lillie gets home from work or inside the Inn with Angela discussing various topics.
In the SoS:PoOT timeline, she exchanges letters with Kannie as frequently as she can and the two call at least once a season to catch up on life. Kannie often boasts to the townspeople about how Lillie is the voice on their radios that tell them the weather, to the point where all the residents know her by name. Lillie attends Kannie and Raeger's wedding along with Fritz. Kannie's third daughter, Edalie, is both a namesake for Eda and Lillie, which Lillie is touched to tears by.

Story of Seasons
First meeting | (to a townsperson) |
---|---|
ㅤ | Oh, hello. My name is Kasandra, you can call me Kannie though. |
ㅤ | ...Yes, I was the one who bought the farm in the mountains. I grew up on a farm so I figured I'd be able to handle it. Miss Eda is helping me though, so there's really nothing to worry about. It's good to meet you. |
Friendship Lines | ㅤ |
---|---|
Grey/White Flower | We meet again. Sorry, I'm in a bit of a hurry...What am I doing? Um, trying to prepare for my farm, so if you'll excuse me... |
Purple Flower | Everyone here is pretty friendly. I lived in the city since I started high school, so I guess I'm not used to it. |
Blue Flower | You think Fritz and I are pretty close? Well, yeah actually. We knew each other back in the city, though I had no idea he ended up dropping out of school and moved here. He's still the same as ever, which is...comforting to say the least, with all the changes in my life. |
Green Flower | I'm used to having a strict morning routine, but I wonder if I should adjust it so I can get to town earlier...Why? Well, Lillie usually leaves town pretty early and I've been meaning to catch her before she leaves. I guess I'll have to meet her after work to chat. Maybe I should treat her to dinner at the Restaurant for her time... |
Yellow Flower | You want to know where I grew up? It's a seaside town far away. In many ways, it's pretty opposite of this one. I moved out before I started high school because I was sick of the small town life and wanted to see the world. It's ironic that I ended up settling back into it after getting what I wanted, isn't it? |
Pink Flower | I'm confident in my farming abilities and I know I'm capable of excelling in my profession. But...I guess if there's one thing I'm not good at, it's knowing what to do when my heart wants something. Farming is one thing. Relationships are...a whole other thing. |
Red Flower | I'm grateful the two of us are close. It's not easy being able to open up to people, especially in a small town like this where I'm the newest resident, but with you it came so naturally. |
Time | ㅤ |
---|---|
Morning 00 | Good morning. It's always nice to have a chat to start your morning, so why don't we head to the Trade Depot and do just that? |
Afternoon 00 | Afternoon already? I should start thinking about what to eat. Then again, I can always go to the Restaurant...That's always a good option. To eat there. ...Stop. |
Evening 00 | Another productive day. I'm satisfied with the work I got done, but there's still lots to do tomorrow. |
Past midnight | No offense, but I really need to sleep now since I wake up early, so could you leave? Sorry, but I'd rather not oversleep tomorrow and ruin my crops. |
Sleep | ...gh...ocean water shouldn't...be used to make pop...sicles....ugh..... |
Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town
General Lines | ㅤ |
---|---|
1 | This town reminds me so much of my hometown. I never realized how much I missed living by the sea. |
2 | Emi and I get too busy to cook sometimes, so we always end up eating out. Though I like the company, it's getting pricey... |
3 | There are a lot of places to eat here, huh? In my last town, there was only one...Well, regardless, I like the variety. |
4 | You never see me in town before 10AM? That's because I'm busy on the farm. And also busy scolding Emi for slacking off... |
5* | Oh, you know that Weather Girl on the radio? I know her! She's a good friend from the town I used to live in. I thought I wouldn't be able to see her since we don't have a TV, so imagine my surprise when I heard her voice coming out of all the radios in town. |
6 | Every time I commission Nguyen for perfume, he seems a little surprised. Is it that odd for me to like those sorts of things? Oh well. |
7 | I feel like people should cut Jack some slack, though I get why Cindy nags him so much. His more responsible side comes out around Emi so maybe that's why I think highly of him. |
8 | When I have the time, I try to send letters or phone-call friends and family. There's one letter I wish I could write...though that one belongs to a bottle in the sea. |
9 | Hmm, I should cook dinner tonight. So much of our money goes to eating out, but the food in town is always so good...what to do...? |
10 | There's a lot of history in this town. Emi's been really into trying to learn more about it. I wish she put that enthusiasm into her farmwork... |
*headcanon that the Weather Girl is Lillie, for obvious reasons
Despite having no experience with maintaining a farm, Emi gets through the hard labor with a silent smile and countless mornings and afternoons spent on her land. Even though she's a slow worker, she is persistent in all that she tries to achieve. Through the residents of Olive Town, she seeks to uncover bits and pieces of her grandfather who she never knew.
Name | Emi |

Birthday: | Spring 3 |
Residence: | Calx Farm (Olive Town ver.) |
Family: | Jack (husband), Lottie (daughter) |
Emi (known as Em to Kannie and Emilie to Lovett even though it's not her real name) is a player character in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive TownHaving grown up with socialite parents who only stayed together for the same of their image, Emi has only ever known a busy life where her only task was to walk on eggshells everywhere she went. She became friends with Kannie in her freshman year of high school and the two stayed close until Kannie graduated. In her senior year of high school, she finds letters from her maternal grandparents sent from a faraway place called Olive Town. Intrigued by its past of tourism and the idea of a peaceful life, she becomes infamous for saying her public goodbyes to her parents at her graduation and taking a motorcycle to Olive Town.
As soon as she gets there, she is shocked by what she uncovers. Victor informs her that her grandfather has long passed away and unexpectedly asks her to take over her grandfather's abandoned farm. While she tries to reject it, she is persuaded when she realizes that his farm is the only way for her to get any idea of what he was like...and also the only way she can stay in Olive Town.
One night, her high school friend Kannie shows up out of the blue and offers to help Emi run her farm. Emi accepts after finding out that Kannie has not only gone through a rejected proposal, but broke up with her boyfriend.
She becomes interested in Iori but his attempts to push her away for her own sake causes her to become disheartened. Jack, on the other hand, is a constant friend for her through her days in Olive Town, though he becomes interested in her from the first time they meet. The two bond casually over their aversion to hard work, but as Emi begins to show her more serious side to him, he does his best to support her. He comforts her through her failing romance and hides his feelings away. When she gets over Iori, Jack confesses to her by requesting a song she recommended to him over the radio.
Emi is unsure of how to proceed with her relationship with Jack, as she doesn't know whether she sees him romantically or not. Jack asks her to give him a chance and she does, with the two of them dating for only a season before she ends up proposing. The town is shocked, with some rumors spreading that they may have had an "accidental factor" into their life together. In reality, they were so comfortable with each other that they saw no reason to wait. It isn't until the morning of their wedding day that Emi tells Jack she loves him, with him easily reciprocating. Though they know they don't have the most romantic or traditional love story, they are content with their life together.
They end up having a daughter, Lottie, five years after getting married.

Relationshipsㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
Jack
The two became fast friends when Emi moved into Olive Town. Unbeknownst to Emi, she catches his eye from the first time they meet, and he crushes on her. At first, their relationship was built around both of their lazy tendencies. Over time, however, they became closer on a more personal level. Emi began to confide in him about the real reason why she was in Olive Town, and Jack assists her in getting to know more about her grandfather through his own grandparents. She is able to find out more about what her grandfather was like during his life thanks to Jack's efforts. He comforts her as she mourns her grandfather and the fact that the closest they had ever been during her life was when he had already passed.
When she develops feelings for Iori, he's the one that she mainly confides in due to Kannie being preoccupied with her own heartbreak. Iori's forced distance with Emi causes Emi to take her farming duties more seriously to distract herself. Jack does his best to be there for her during this time while hiding his growing feelings away from her. Eventually, Emi is able to get over her feelings for Iori, and Jack takes this as an opportunity to make advances towards her.
When he asks her out, Emi is shocked and confused on how to proceed because she had never thought about Jack in that light. In a way, he felt like family to her because he was so comforting and familiar. He asks her to give him a chance and she accepts.
Emi eventually realizes while they're dating that she thinks of him as "family" because he makes her feel safe and his presence grounds her. She finds that she can see a future in Olive Town with him at her side, and thus, she proposes to him, shocking both Jack and the entire town. They have to continuously assure his family (Cindy most especially) that there isn't a baby on the way. Surprisingly, they thought that there was no point in wasting time dating when they could both see a future with another, and uncharacteristically work quickly to get married.
They are gossiped about often due to them getting married relatively young and fast, and not having children for a while. However, the both of them are content with the lives that they lead.Lottie
The only child that they have is Lottie, whose personality takes more after Jack. She loves catching bugs, to her parents' delight and her Auntie Kannie's dismay, and loves the attention of her entire family. Emi struggled with Lottie at first and couldn't connect with her emotionally, which caused her immense grief during the first few months of Lottie's life. Jack took over as the main caretaker. Emi assumes this is why Lottie, even after growing up, is closer with her father, but constantly seeks out her mother's attention.
